Current needs

• BE A FINANCIAL PARTNER: Help us acquire and maintain our Resting Place, so survivors can have an opportunity for stabilization, rest and recovery! The Resting Place will be a two-bedroom apartment where a single survivor can stay for up to 30 days. This model of safe house has a 92% rate for survivors successfully going through the program. We have already identified survivors who want to enter the Program.

• HELP with FUNDRAISING EVENTS: Donate your time helping with our next major fundraiser - a Time 'n Talent Live Auction on November 2nd at

  Sturgis Community Building. What a fun evening this will be! Funds raised will go to our Resting Place. Help coordinate the items coming in for auction, the dinner, decorating, guest seating for the tables, etc.

• GRANT WRITER: Help acquire funds for the Resting Place via grant-writing.

• SOCIAL MEDIA: We need someone to take over our social media platforms as we are weak in this area!

• HOLD a LUNCH 'N LEARN for Friends, Co-workers: Help people become aware of the perils and signs of sex-trafficking and how to prevent it on Cape & Islands.

• BE a COUNSELOR for the CHOOSING SAFETY PROGRAM: If you are a certified counselor and would like to co-lead our Choosing Safety Program, you could fill a need for services on Cape that are asking us to hold the Program at their shelters, etc. There is a great need for recovery programs for survivors of sex-trafficking!

• DONATE PRO BONO SERVICES such as MEDICAL, DENTAL, LEGAL: Once we have our Resting Place, we will provide these services for the survivor in the Rest and Resiliency Program. Any psychiatric, psychological counseling and other wrap-around services will follow in a 1-2-year transition program elsewhere.

• HOLD a HOPE-FILLED BAG DONATION EVENT: This is a great way to spread awareness of the ongoing injustices against victims of sex-trafficking.

• WRITE ENCOURAGEMENT CARDS: We put individual, hand-written encouragement cards in each of our Hope-Filled Bags which are then distributed to various shelters, etc., across Cape & Islands.

• PROVIDE A VENUE to RAISE AWARENESS about ONLINE SAFETY for YOUTH: We are prepared to do interactive awareness presentations to youth parents, educational staff, etc.
